About The Game
When you start the game you shall receive a little piece of land to build your empire on. The game has good tutorial that will show you what menus do and what buildings you can build. In addition to that the tutorial also shows how to research and unlock even more options for building buildings. You can also move and sell your houses, a nice little feature (moving) that allows you to create a city that is truly with your image.
You will start of by focusing on getting resources to build houses and generate resources. The two important buildings are The Huts and Stilt Houses that will give you more population and coin accordingly. With Pottery and Hunter buildings you are able to make items that then will give you building points. You have to keep in mind that generating resources will take you a lot of time and for that this cheats application is a good tool to have ;)
In order to collect the generated resources you will need to be behind the computer and collect them from each house once they have been produced. If you are not at present then the game will punish you with spoiling the resources and all the time that was spent on creating the items is wasted.
Only thing you don't have to worry about is forge points. They are generated every hour and have limit of 10 points. You can use forge points to research different things. It takes generally 2-5 points to research something.
Even though there is PvP in the game the main focus is still on the single-player campaign. The main focus is to scout land, battle with other metropolises, conquer provinces and get more and more resources. The game doesn't have a good storyline so you will be mostly just scouting new land and expanding the empire.
In order to grow bigger and expand to other provinces you will need to scout. For that you don't have a unit or anything like that but you simply pay coin. If the land has been scouted then you have to option to attack parts of the province.
You can train new units from barracks and range. The combat is turn based and automatic. Only thing you have control over is with what unit you want to attack the enemy with. If you defeat the part of province you gain access to more resources.
Forge Of Emp does offer something new as single player campaigns and the possibility of moving houses. Though, the time you will spend on gathering resources and just expanding over-weights the enjoyable part of the game.
